Thirteen Sixty Two

This work explores the conversation between various types of mark making. Physicality is directly documented through the frottage (rubbing) technique while visual evidence is portrayed by more traditional drawing methods of line and erasure. The interaction between the two techniques relegates the drawn-on locks to symbol, mere aesthetics to soothe the psyche, and confirms that safety does not derive from locking devices.
